Kia Cerato K3 Owners Gain Horsepower with K&N Air Intake System

We all know the performance parts industry was developed by guys that modified their cars because they could, not because they had to. Here at K&N we keep that same spirit by taking something that is good and making it better, just because we can. The R&D department at K&N has liberated airflow on Kia Cerato K3 models by modifying and improving the air intake path.

By freeing up the airflow with this air intake system we're allowing your car the ability to increase its power. Using a chassis dyno we've tested the Kia Cerato K3 and estimate it will gain an additional 5.6 horsepower at 5,383 RPM. In addition to the increase in horsepower we estimate this air intake will add 3.72 lb-ft of torque at 4775 RPM. Not too shabby considering this intake can usually be installed in less than ninety minutes.
Not only is this air intake designed to increase power, it looks good while doing it. This kit compliments the sleek look of Kia's engine bay with a high-quality performance intake tube with a silver colored finish. The whole air intake is backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty. The mandrel bent aluminum tubing has a high quality powder coat finish. Our powder coats are applied using charged powder particles that adhere to the electrically grounded surface of the intake tube until the powder is heated and fused into a smooth coating in the curing oven. This finish is highly durable and resistant to scratches, chipping, fading and general wear.

In addition to the highly durable finish, drivers can rest assured that this intake was designed to work perfectly with the vehicle's factory electronic components. One side of the intake tube features a vent fitting for a hose that connects to a port on the valve cover that keeps the CCV system vented.

On the end of this air intake is one of our famous high-flow air filters. This filter is made with an oiled cotton gauze media that has incredible air flow and dust capacity. What makes K&N air filters great is that they increase increase the air flow and dust capacity of the filter without sacrificing filtration efficiency.

Service intervals for this air filter vary depending on driving conditions. Of course if you're driving in an extremely dusty environment the filter will need to be cleaned more than usual but if you are driving on typically paved streets and freeways the filter will be able to go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning and re-oiling is needed. When servicing does become necessary you can purchase K&N Recharge Kit
