This requires more energy from the crank to turn to pulley.  Thus reducing energy transfer to the gearbox.

OEM crank pulley are made from cast iron due to cost saving and durability thus sacrificing on weight.

Arospeed produced a similar crank pulley made using T6061 aluminium which are both durable and light!

According to research, every pound remove from the crank is equal to 2.7hp gain in power.

1.3kg = 2.87 pound
2.87 pound = about 7.8hp gain in performance!!

Base on rough calculation, you are expected to gain almost 8hp by just replacing a CRANK PULLEY!
