Why YOU should Replace your OEM Brake Rotor?

WHY YOU SHOULD REPLACE YOUR OEM BRAKE ROTOR??

The disc brake is a wheel brake which slows rotation of the wheel by the friction caused by pushing brake pads against a brake disc with a set of calipers.  The brake disc/rotor is usually made of cast iron.

To stop the wheel, friction material in the form of brake pads, mounted on a device called a brake caliper, is forced mechanically, hydraulically, pneumatically or electromagnetically against both sides of the disc.  Friction causes the disc and attached wheel to slow or stop.  

Brakes convert motion to heat and if the brakes get too hot, they become less effective, a phenomenon known as brake fade 

In order to overcome or reduce BRAKE FADE, new design of brake disc/rotor have been introduced.

SPECIAL HEAT TREATMENT

For the long or short distance drive, the normal rotor surface will usually expand or contract causing small cracks (heat cracks) to occur after a period of time.  And therefore reducing the friction efficiency.  Jun Racing Technology has come out with a special heat treatment technology to performed in advance to stabilize the components of the rotors itself to greatly decrease heat cracks during driving.  With this technological breakthrough this will expand the lifespan of the rotors and give the driver a peace of mind for long term usage.


LONG SLITS AND CURVE

Long slits aligned on the slit with the word E, called "E SLIT ROTOR".  The E-Slit will smoothly shave the pad and resulting in a fast and efficient braking force to slow down the vehicle and still maintain the brake pad in desirable condition.  The advantages of the "E-Slit Rotor" are also proven to expel water in wet conditions as well as removing dust and debris along the way.

Combination of cross drilled & slotted disc brake rotor made from special heat treated cast iron.
This special heat treatment make the rotor stronger which give better brake feel.

When you apply the brakes, debris and hot air or gas is created between the brake rotors and brake pads.  Lined grooves or slots help to expel these debris and hot gas away from the brake rotor.  Slots also helps to maximize the contact between the friction surfaces and improves the grip between the brake pad and brake rotors to more stopping power.
